This year, we’re incredibly proud to celebrate the 10th anniversary of PASS, our care management software that has been at the heart of supporting the social care community. It’s been a decade of innovation, trust, and quality, all aimed at helping care providers be the best they can be.
Since PASS first launched in 2014, we’ve had the privilege of empowering care providers to deliver exceptional, person-centred care. Over the past 10 years, PASS has supported more than 790,000 service users, facilitated 13 million care visits, and completed an incredible 72 million care tasks.

At PASS, we’ve always focused on delivering features that truly matter to care providers and the individuals they support. Here are a few key milestones from our journey:
👨👩👧👦 2015: openPASS is launched
We launched openPASS, the first family and friends’ portal of its kind. It fostered transparency, trust, and empowerment by connecting care providers with the support network of those they care for.
💚 2018: The Care Badge is introduced
We introduced the Care Badge, a symbol of recognition for social care professionals, acknowledging their vital contribution to the health and social care sector.
🔗 2020: GP Connect is rolled out
PASS became the first to roll out GP Connect, a game-changing feature that enables a secure and efficient data connection between PASS and authorised GP practices. This ensures better person-centred care for service users.
📅 2022: PASS Roster is launched
Responding to customer demand, we developed an in-house care rostering feature, creating a true all-in-one platform for seamless care management.
🏆 2024: PASS announces industry first compliance achievement
PASS became the first care management software to achieve all 14 NHS Digital Social Care Standards, setting a gold standard for quality and compliance in the sector.
What's next?
We’re proud to say that PASS has become a trusted partner for care providers, with users of our software being 37% more likely to achieve an ‘Outstanding’ rating from the Care Quality Commission compared to the national average.
Looking ahead, Robin said, “The next 10 years will be just as dynamic as the last.
