Digital Transformation In Care Brought To Life

Digital transformation in care is a hot topic right now, from cloud computing, to robots helping the elderly in care homes. Whether you see this as a positive or a negative, one thing is clear: the UK’s largest integrated health and care event, the Residential and Home Care Show at the ExCel, London on June 26th – 27th June 2019, will give you the chance to explore the subject fully.

The show aims to help drive business efficiencies and growth in the sector through education and inspiration. There is a full programme of talks and presentations over the two days, with speakers from every area, including Taffy Gatawa, Chief Information and Compliance Officer at everyLIFE Technologies, who will be leading a panel of social care influencers in a discussion about technology leading change in social care.

With a background in risk management and clinical governance gained through many years of working in the health sector, a qualified nurse and holder of two MAs, Taffy has spoken widely on the subject of risk management and patient safety. Her role during the discussion is sure to elicit the latest thinking, strategies and innovations for the future of better-informed care.

The line-up of panellists includes some of the care sector’s premier experts. The rich collective of nine industry leaders, entrepreneurs and consultants will share their varied experience in the sector. They will also be debating how the role of technology is opening doors to improve ways of complying with the increasingly challenging standards for well-led care.

The panels include:

  • Karolina Gerlich, CEO of NACS (National Association of Care & Support Workers)
  • Vic Rayner, Executive Director of the National Care Forum
  • Bhavna Keane Rao, Health and Social Care Consultant BKR Consulting
  • Alyson Scurfield, Chief Executive of TEC (Telecare Services Association)
  • Lydia Nicolas, Programme Manager of Better Care Systems at doteveryone
  • Tommy Henderson-Reay & Claire Sutton, Digital Transformation Leads, at the National Care Forum

Such a meeting of minds is sure to provide much insight, but more importantly, leave visitors feeling prepared to take on digital change for themselves.

Be sure to get involved and make a note of when and where. Wednesday 26th June at the Residential Care Theatre 12.40-13.10pm, and Thursday 27th June at the Home Care Theatre 10.00-10.30am. See the full programme here.
