PASSsystem DEVICE SUPPORT POLICY FOR iOS

This page contains simple instructions on how to update your Apple software for best use of The PASSsystem.

As of 31st October 2016 PASSsystem will no longer be supported on Apple iOS versions prior to 9.0. Earlier device versions might still run The PASSsystem app without issues, but everyLIFE may not be able to provide support in the event of any issues on these versions.

Your employees using PASSsystem on Apple mobile or tablet devices should follow these guidelines to ensure they remain on a supported device.

STEP 1

Follow these instructions to check which version of Apple’s Operating System (iOS) you are currently on:

  1. Tap ‘Settings’
  2. Tap ‘General’
  3. Tap ‘About’

If the ‘About’ screen displays version 9.0 or later, you’re okay for now. If it displays an earlier version, go to Step 2, below.

STEP 2

Follow these instructions to check updates on your device:

  1. Tap ‘Settings’
  2. Tap ‘General’
  3. Tap ‘Software Update’
  4. This screen will display the latest available version of iOS for your device. If the version shown is iOS 9.0 or later, tap ‘Download and Install’ and follow the instructions on screen.

If an update to iOS 9.0 or above is not available, go to Step 3, below.

STEP 3

Contact your mobile provider:

Discuss your options for upgrading your device. Many providers offer a free upgrade after a period of time. When choosing a new device, ensure that it supports iOS 9.0 or above.
