The care notes of the person in care are available to care professionals such as district nurses, commissioners, social workers, emergency responders, community clinicians, GPs and therapists via the openPASS app. openPASS is a platform that allows families and all authorised members of the health & social care ecosystem secure access to the care plan of an individual receiving support.
Subject to strict governance processes, commissioners, social workers, emergency responders, community clinicians and all other care stakeholders may be given live access to comprehensive care notes and medication details. The benefit to the client is immediate because all care providers may reference the same, accurate record in real time. Errors and duplications are contained, risk is reduced and a complex multi-service environment becomes integrated and efficient.

everyLIFE was invited into the home of an openPASS user to film how the app has transformed the way that they able to keep each other and the care company that they use all informed of care being delivered. The video, which you can view here, has been viewed hundreds of thousands of times on social media and has begun a long-overdue debate about the need for digital systems to bring greater transparency and improved communications between care receivers and their loved ones.
The openPASS part of PASS is great. It allowed us to remove all the paperwork (from customers’ homes).
We started using Bluebird care to assist with my Mum. We have found them to be reliable, punctual and friendly. The care for her is mainly dealt with by one main carer and a couple of others which we find helpful as does my Mum as she gets to know them. Bluebird care use an openPASS App which we find very useful as we are able to look up her care for that day wherever we are and know how she has been and what has happened during the visit. The uniform is a great visual assistance.
